Palin's Midnight Ride??

Listen my voters and you shall hear
Sarah Palin's misconceptions of Paul Revere.
She said he came a ringing, the bells nice and loud
To tell the Redcoats that "you're not allowed"
I went to Lexington
And Concord too..
With guns ablazin...
Both one and two...
To arms!!!!!
To arms!!!!!
You could hear me shout...
I didn't care that the Tories were milling about.
Believe what you want from that Longfellow guy
But a Tea Partier wrong...what are you high???
Sarah says that it's accurate...100% right
So what if it's not...she read it last night.

There's a FIRE!!!!

The Old D&H Railroad shop on Tibbitts Ave. Caught fire last night

As you can imagine. It was a total loss.

I remember playing in there when I was a kid. So many memories. there used to be a tower next to the building which housed pigeons. We always played that it was a castle and my friends and I were Knights going to defeat the Dragon.

It will be missed.

Blast From The Past

Found my old Scrapbook a few days ago and found some of the pics from my Rhythm and Blues Brothers days. Thought I would post them here.

This is an AD from when we played at Billy's in Troy back in the 80's

It's WHAT??????

Started a new medication yesterday that should help my weight and diabetes. It's called Byetta, It's an inject-able pen that doses 5 mg and needs to be taken around 15-30 minutes BEFORE a meal twice a day. I thought sure, I'll try it, anything to help me lose weight.

I looked up the drug and found out that it is synthetic Gila Monster spit!!!(I kid you not!)  Hopefully it works and I won't turn into any weird creature, but who knows???? Will keep you updated.

Halloween and the Graveyard

Another Halloween has come and gone and with it, another Haunted Graveyard in our back yard. Despite the rain this year, many of the neighborhood children came to see the work that my wife, Jake and myself had put into the display. Last year, after all the hard work, it rained the entire time and only one group of kids saw the exhibit the next day.
Our 4 year old daughter really had a fun time with the exhibit, she wanted to touch everything and nothing scared her. Unfortunately, she quickly went on sensory overload and we had to severely cut her back on the time in the yard. Hopefully next year she will be able to be more of a help with the setup and execution of the exhibit.

Here are the pics of our Graveyard.
